The Endless Search for Home

The moonlight shone
brilliantly through the soft, fir pine tree forest. A
flutter of wings was heard over head as a Hawk sailed
gently over the tree tops. This Hawk was a peculiar
hawk though. It's appearance was nearly transparent.
This was a SpiritHawk. A Hawk which was wise in many
aspects of life, and could adapt easily to almost any
situation that it is placed under. Yet, this
SpiritHawk is having trouble with his wisdom, and is
having difficulty adapting to the hardship that is
presented before it every night. It is searching. It
searches for a specific woman. A woman who is wild,
vibrant, and free. Her spirit is free for she has
escaped the man who has plagued her life for too many
years. Nevertheless, the SpiritHawk was unwillingly
left behind in the grasping binds of the man. And,
every night, the SpiritHawk gets its chance to search.
It searches for a way to escape. A way to fly and be
free with that woman who loves it so much. So the Hawk
continues flying over that endless forest of pines.
The moon never stops shining, and the Hawk never stops
flapping. Then, waking in a cold sweat, I sit up in
bed and cry softly to myself. I cry that someday I
will be with my Mother.
