Soul
Dancers
In the darkness
of heavy night,
my soul danced.
It's wings swung
from side to side,
and it leaped
through my rippled indigo waters.
It danced until the sun,
with its delicate golden power,
lifted the heaviness of light,
and shone brightly of
victory.
As the sun traveled
through the slippery air,
to light the flame within me,
I crushed my soul
dancers,
and sucked the thick
juice of life
from my soul.
Thank you TV
Devil.

Terror
Dracula with mahogany colored
blood dripping
from ivory teeth.
Alone in a hospital bed without even myself to help
me,
invaded with foreign Nazis.
Friends who won't like me.
Shadows of the unknown.
Fallings from everything
or being too high.
People staring
at what I hate
about myself, seeing
things I cannot see.
Being what I am.
That night will never come.
That life has already ended
far too soon.
That I can't survive on my own,
my footstool will collapse.
My mirror image.

Grace
Sitting at a dinner table
with golden hazy light
pouring down from the heavens,
we all sit down like soldiers marching
to their army seats,
and fold our hands,
taking off our olive green camouflages and masks of
rage and hate
in the warmth of the light.
We all hold hands,
helmets removed,
and see all of the beautiful clouds in the sky.
Now we can see them
after a daytime of rusty colored smoke and
slaughtered flesh
thrown into the air.
We all have killed
we all have lived.
The ghosts of the whole things that we killed
or that died alone without us
all sit at the dinner table, too,
but their uniforms were already gone.
The sky opened in explosions of
aqua, turquoise, periwinkle and indigo.
Wispy strands of creamy clouds
and flying spirits finally reach the earth.
The food on our plates is peas,
the green earth.
The meat is the power and courage of our
battle.
The mashed potatoes are like the clouds-
wispy, soft and gentle.
